Just to let you know that I deleted my Google + because I was getting overwhelmed and too confused by it.
It reminded me of facebook which I don't do either.

a fun bookbinding class

I got together with a group of friends for a great bookbinding class last night.  I haven't done very much, but it really appeals to me. The class was taught by Debra-Lynn May of snickering licorice . I didn't ask permission to show what we made in class so I won't show it just now. But, when I see Deb again I will ask and post TWO journals. Sooooo much fun!

Wrapped in Love Afghan

Here is a project I finally completed . I can't say I was thrilled with the result but, it's for me.  I would do some things a little differently. Practice makes perfect, when, I don't know.

what I've been up to lately

In case you are wondering what I've been up these last few months I've been making an afghan for my Aunt's 80th birthday. I did panic I wasn't going to finish it time.  As you can see she was thrilled.  I think my Aunt looks very good for 80, I should be so lucky.

Ballet Collage

Hello everyone,
I thought I would post my tile that I made on composite board. It is 1" or 2.5cm thick and 8" square or 20cm  square.  I gessoed with black gesso, applied a music scrap, die cut the musical staff. Ballerina is from Dezinaworld.  We had to use a quote and a heart on the composition. I textured and highlighted the textures with lumiere. Ballet slippers were pink (not my thing) so I spritzed them with coffed shop Tattered Angels/ Surprise ! It worked. I die cut the letters for the quote.
My art group was asked to make tiles to give graduate students ideas for their arts scholarship drive (music, theatre, dance etc). They will be also making some so auction off for funds.
Just wanted to let you know I have been creating, just not posting of late. I didn't think you wanted to see my
crocheted christmas presents.

My Halloween ATC's

Hi Everyone,
I haven\t been blogging for awhile so I thought I would share some ATC's I made using Graphic 45 Halloween Haunting set, corrugated card stock, Golden Fluid Acrylic Iridescent Bright Gold, Glossy Accents, and odds and ends from my stash. Distress Walnut for edges of pictures.
I used a cosmetic sponge to apply lightly the golden paint to the ridges of the card stock,  it was so pretty in real life I wish I could have used just that. Trimmed images to how I wanted. and saved all the bits, I know I will use them later.  I applied glossy accent to moons, Boo, etc. Glued google eyes on spiders and other places. Used raffia on some of the atc's. I had fun. It is hard to tell in the pics but the dotty background is spiders.
